November 7-10, Honolulu, Hawai'i
We encourage graduate students to attend the annual conference of the American Studies Association.
We will reimburse the following costs associated with attendance at the ASA conference, or other similar interdisciplinary conferences:
- Economy class airfare
- Conference registration fees
- Reasonable accommodations during the conference
Students are eligible for one trip during their tenure at Princeton, up to a maximum reimbursable amount of $2000. We will consider supporting a second trip to ASA or other interdisciplinary conferences (as funds allow) if the student is presenting a paper on a topic in American studies, Latino studies, or Asian American studies.
Graduate students whose enrollment status qualifies them to use SAFE are eligible to apply for this funding. Interested students should apply online in SAFE prior to their proposed trip, and in their application include information about the conference, reason for attending, and a proposed budget. Following the trip, students should upload receipts into SAFE within 30 days.
