Event Description

Queer Space Working Group and Querformat invite students and student organizations to a summer conversation about architecture and queer spaces. This event is part of an initiative that aims to connect students, scholars, educators, and practitioners in architecture who are queer, trans, and nonbinary.

Queer Space Working Group is a transnational group of queer scholars and people working in the academy. Starting this summer, the working group is hosting a series of themed, informal conversations to chat, brainstorm, and imagine the opportunities this international collaboration can offer. If interested in joining the initiative, email us or follow on Instagram: @queerspaceworkinggroup.

Querformat is the queer working group of the Department of Architecture at ETH Zurich. On the one hand it is meant to build up a safe space within the school, an informal platform to meet, share and discuss. At the same time and as a working group, it promotes and advocates for awareness and visibility for the queer collective within the faculty and the outside. In order to do so, it is meant to develop an in-depth research on the intersection of queerness and spatial issues as well as through different sorts of activism. If you are interested in joining the group or starting a collaboration please email us or follow us on Instagram: @querformat.arch.
